  • Condition: Very nice used condition. Very mild wear to some edges and very mild bumping to some corners. Boxes are complete including the insert that covers the blade of the one knife that is presented flat. (The other three are presented cutting edge down.) Also included is the rectangular foam piece that goes on top of the knives (and underneath the lid of the box). The magnetic clasps work well. Please see photos. Sold as is.

    Description

    Up for sale is a lot of two (2) identical boxes, each of which is designed to hold a set of four (4) Rhineland Cutlery steak knives.
    (PLEASE NOTE:  I am selling the empty boxes that were issued with the knives.  I am NOT selling the knives themselves.)
    Each box measures 11 inches across by 6.25 inches wide by 1.375 inches thick.  Each box has two magnetic clasps that hold it shut.  Once opened, you lift off a rectangular shaped piece of foam to get to the knives, which are presented in a velvet like cases with cutouts.  One knife (the one closest to the clasps) is presented on its side.  There is an insert that fits over the exposed blade.  The other three knives are presented cutting edge down.  Each of the four slots measures 9.375 inches (from the beginning of the handle to the tip of the blade).   These boxes are made of cardboard, not wood.
