    Description

    Ship is the Aircraft Carrier USS Independence (1943), model no. A500
    Ship is a waterline model built to a 1/1200 scale by Superior Models (?).  It is approx. 6 1/8 inches (15.5 cm) long.  The date after the ship’s name represents the “as depicted date” of the vessel.
    Ship is cast in lead-free pewter.  The model is pre-owned (from the 70s-80s).  The Independence is in good condition with two minor issues.  The crane forward of the island is bent downward and the island looks like it was attached to the ship a bit crudely, see photographs.  Do not have the original box.
